Do you know “She’ll be coming round the mountain?”
It was the first song I remember learning. My grandfather taught it to me when I was 4.
Writing is best when it’s musical,
but its hard to be lyrical.
Still, here’s a little chorus I wrote to “She’ll be coming around the mountain.”
“It seemed like a good idea at the time.
You’d get yours and I’d get mine.
We didn’t have to do it, but you went ahead and blew it,
Because it seemed like a good idea at the time.”
I’m not going to lie,
give songwriting a try.
It’ll make you happy,
’til the day you die.
Seriously, it’ll help you write better copy too.
